Wallace tendered for the site on the open market, and following a shortlist and interview process, was selected as the preferred Land Promoter. The site is being promoted to support Uttlesford to meet their housing supply shortfall. The site can deliver up to 90 homes.

Proposal and Promotion
Due to the nature of the site, Wallace, ahead of the promotion agreement being signed, commenced technical work immediately for transport, ecology, air and noise. This revealed specific issues with regard to the strategic road network, protected species and air quality. Wallace met with the Council, the County Council and the landowners to discuss each aspect. Subsequently, again ahead of the promotion agreement being signed, Wallace instructed further studies on each aspect whilst maintaining dialogue with the principle stakeholders.
In addition, Wallace also appointed a planning consultant for the site and prepared representations in response to the Local Plan consultation. The representations support the principle of development within the settlement and highlight the benefits of the site.
Wallace is working with the key stakeholders to promote the site and meet the housing needs in Uttlesford.
